Walking on a warm Greek land, it is impossible not to remember Greek mythology and Greek gods, temples and great battles and even films made in Greece. Greece is also the land that will provide a runaway from everyday life with its exotic islands, resorts, beaches and food typical for that area, taking you to an adventure you will hardly forget. 

Mykonos

In Greek mythology Mikonos was the place where Zeus and Titan fought, and the island is named after Apollo’s grandson, Mykonos. The island used to be a poor one, and its people survived with fishing. Shipbuilding was developed on the island, while true progress happened during the 50’s when Mykonos became a very popular tourist destination. 

Peloponnese

Peloponnese is, more or less, where world history is archived. Neolith, Mikena, old Greece and its megalopolises are there. On the other hand, beaches and sights of Peloponnese, its villages and kind people are more than a good reason to spend your holiday there.

Athens

The historical heritage of a destination is important, but not the most important when choosing where to spend the holiday. But the history of Athens is literally impossible to avoid. Constant reminder of the glorious past is the Acropolis, the monument seen from all parts of Athens as there is no building tall enough to block the view. And this reminder is there for a reason, as Athens is the cradle of European civilisation.
